You're looking for something like

I thought I might have typod, but I've just checked on mine and it looks right.

Flashing yellow-blue would mean it's turning off the blue LED when it shouldn't be...
I suspect you might have either the rgB in the wrong order, or the two engine patterns mixed around.

Please note that the two engine patterns are not the same:
Code:
9d80400040ff7f0040007f000000
9d80400040ff7f007f000000
and that the order of both the patterns and the list of LEDs assigned to each channel is important.

I am using this pattern and I would like to know how to change it so that it fades in and out. I know you can change it somehow but do you know what part of the code to change and what the logic behind it is?

I haven't really tried changing that - my n900 is never off for long.

The pattern itself looks pretty straightforward but there might be something in whatever manages turning the power on that could cause problems. The way that the pattern suddenly terminates when you take your finger off of the power button - if this is time dependant it may cut off your pattern as soon as the n900 has registered that it's been turned on.

I get errors when comes the time to save the mce.ini with the changed pattern. It shows me a dialogue box with title:"Save as'' and below that says:''Cannot save file'' and below that message a button which says:''Dismiss".

I'm afraid I've not used 'mc' much.
Is there a "Save" rather than "Save As"?
Usually with "Save As" there's somewhere to type in a file name.
