I managed to install Audible and got it to use an SD card. My problem is that when playing audio, GVM takes 100% cpu, and playback stutters a lot.
Is that normal?

I ran into a similar problem, though I usually don't.
Then I opened an xterm and became root.
I typed top and hit enter.
I got a list of processes with twitter2 at the top.
I had been running a twitter program earlier, though I wasn't then.
I noted the process number of twitter2 and hit q to quit.
I typed kill and the process number and hit enter.
The stutter problem immediately went away.
