I have not used them myself (no need), but there is the option of online conversion to PDF. Here is one example I found through a Google search:

You could simply upload your Word docs to the site, and then receive the converted PDF via e-mail.
(NOTE: Don't do this if you are worried about the security of the document. Other option would be to VNC to your own PC to accomplish this)
