I uninstalled using xterm (the safe way) last time and ma phone wouldn't turn on? Whats the risk removing it the noob way?

That it might fail (unlikely, but possible) and you will need to flash the kernel manually. You said you tried to follow the manual deinstallation instructions and failed, so just do it the n00b way and click the 'Deinstall Kernel' icon. If it doesn't work, just follow the manual instructions again carefully.
