I don't care about Nokia. But the constant, persistent bashing of them in (almost) EVERY topic (and attacking people who don't utterly hate Nokia or suggest that they enjoy using the N900, or don't bow before the obvious superiority to other hardware) does nothing to help these forums.
This called users Opinion! If no one speaking of the truth then would Nokia ever going to changed? I did not bashing Nokia N900, I bashing NOKIA for lack of support, I don't utterly attacking people who doesn't hate Nokia at all either. I enjoyed using my N900 myself. Beside some people just like to bash other people when the they themself knew the truth about the fact that Nokia losing it's ball and N900 is not perfect. There isn't a device out there is perfect. Some people here like to hide within the BOX and attacking anyone who has any freedom of speech. That is what drives long term members and developer away from this forum, also Nokia lack of support pissed off many others. People don't just leave the forum because of the negative feed back, they left because of this forum is lack of agreement and resolution toward a basic human understanding. We all are in this together and we all have the right to make out own judgement and believe. So we got something to say of our own.

Your brain is not my brain.

Well for reads the impact of seeking isn't that big (mostly command overhead I think). For writing the impact is gigantic though. The native erase block size is something like 128-256k, while the OS and MMU deal in units of 4k. When the OS issues a 4K write, the emmc will read 256k, modify 4k of that, and write it back. Slowdown is factor 64 or so, not counting command overhead from issuing many small requests instead of fewer big ones.

Of course swap fragmentation disappears with a reboot or swapoff/swapon cycle.

Why do you keep going on about "720p HD even from a 3mp camera."? A 720p image is less than 1mp.

I'm not getting screwed over by Nokia's (lack of) support for new ideas again. I'll wait for the 2nd Meego device if there'll ever be one...
