if you using windows prefer exFAT, if you using linux - ext4. dont use ext4 in windows.

I agree!

you need to consider what you are using your N9 with...

linux -> EXT4
mac/windows -> exFAT

OK I will do as you both say of course, but why is it different with N9 compared with my HTC that's really strange I think!

Last question before starting here, fstab should I just shift blk0p1...MyDocs ext4 rw, ... with blk0p1.... MyDocs exFAT rw, ...?

you need to format the partition first because a part of the ubiboot install is located on that partition.....

@mcbook do you have masstorage in Ubuntu after change to ext4 in openmode? And if how/where (Nautilus or..?)?

I don't transfer files via USB but as far as I can remember partition mounting worked fine under ubuntu (which I also don't use... )
