OMG, it's happening again! Weird stuff happens if more than one app is involved.
Reinstalling that hildon stuff did help but just until I changed desktop layout using desktop activities. This broke background settings again.
Now I'm completely confused. Do I really have to reinstall hildon apps after using desktop activities? Is that the way I'm gonna spend my time in future?
Nevertheless, thanks for that hint. And of course for readding your great theme management!
