You must have made a typo, Bonapart said it correct:
Code:chown -R user:users /home/user/.config/Team16

I have noticed that need for speed 1 will only work if sound is enabled but at the cost of performance, if i disable sound it only load up to the main menu and then when i try to start the game it freezes the emulator.
Any work-around?
here is the output through xterm:-
- $ psx4m-gui
/opt/maemo/usr/games/pcsx -nosound -bios scph1000.bin -bdir /home/user/MyDocs/bios/ -fullscreen -fps -cdfile /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/Games/psx roms/NFS1.img -save_name NFS1.img
Running PCSX Version 1.9 (Dec 27 2011).
Init new dynarec
Loading memory card ./.pcsx/memcards/card1.mcd
Loading memory card ./.pcsx/memcards/card2.mcd
plugin: /opt/maemo/usr/games/plugins/builtin_gpu
plugin: /opt/maemo/usr/games/plugins/spunull.so
plugin: /opt/maemo/usr/games/plugins/builtin_pad
plugin: /opt/maemo/usr/games/plugins/builtin_pad
Plugins loaded.
Loaded CD Image: /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/Games/psx roms/NFS1.img[+ccd][+sub].
Track 01 (DATA) - Start 00:02:00, Length 60:28:70
CD-ROM Label: SLES00223
CD-ROM ID: SLES00223
ari64_reset
branch in delay slot @800101a0 (80010160)

Sorted it
checked the output in xterm with sound enabled and i noticed 1 line was showing
plugin: /opt/maemo/usr/games/plugins/builtin_spu
sound disabled was showing
plugin: /opt/maemo/usr/games/plugins/spunull.so
so i gathered that may be the problem.
In advance menu i ticked the -spu irq always enabled- and that sorted the problem out.
