Thanks in advance!

Have a look in the /etc/systemui directory.
The callui.xml file controls the 'phone' menu item.
The systemui.xml controls the other menu items. Some of these items
already have <icon> tags so it should be easy to add them to the other menu items.

(all this already explained by carsten in an earlier post I believe)

Of course I searched and read through this thread.
Maybe I missed it, not too hard in this monster thread ;-)

A couple attempts at a physical looking virtual keyboard. Second is a variation of a the first with a dark brushed metal texture. Just extract the .PNGs from your chosen .ZIP to the images directory of your theme (after backing up originals).

This one turned out better than I thought it would. I was going for a wooden typewriter look. The key presses need to be seen in action, as they look very realistic ,

Edited: Fixed the shading on the extra punctuation key.

A brass typewriter keyboard and grayscale version, also with nice key presses.

hi !

I would like two main hacks :

- a battery charging icon not moving all the time like nokia one, but more a static one (like on GNOME desktop in ubuntu), showing real level of battery while charging, with an indicator to see that its charging (like a green dot on it or a plug icon emblem)

- and i would like a full width top bar on desktop, not just a variable-width one , i want my desktop top panel looking exactely like others on the system apps....

can someone help me ?

thanks

When i got you right,
Settings > Text input > Use virtual keyboard.

Edit (Think i got you wrong ) : The files go to usr/share/themes/XXX/images

XXX = name of the used theme

My new Mod : Color- Booster
I was tired of this plain colored UI.....

Just edit the file urs/share/themes/xxx/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
The place to look for starts @ line 207
Or just look out for :
######################
#
# Logical color definitions
#
######################

The colors there are in Hex Code.
There is much more changeable in this file. Lets see what we can get out of this.

The Pics show my Modded Matrix Theme :

Gonna kill my N900 in the about one hour. I want to find out how to change the font. Replacing the font in that file it did nothing. Im gonna start to replace the originals.
I will post results later.
