I also have problem of recording video both High 16:9, and camerabdresolutionhd16x9....and other hd dvd mode.

Here's the screenshot

After that it just showed this black screen and the timer just keep going..

Until I touch on the screen and it show this

Please check my method below if I have done something wrong.

I refer to this topic:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=77695

Then I edit the two lines of my dsp file:

I save it, and go to Xterm

Code:
root
kernel-config load dsp
kernel-config default dsp
I close and reboot the phone.

Then I refer to the relevant topic by same author:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...83#post1117683

Next, I downloaded 3 files, via Xterm as root, dpkg -i

camera-ui_1.1.29.2+0cssu7_armel.deb
libgdigicam0_0.3.29.1+0m5_armel.deb
libgdigicam-gst-camerabin0_0.3.29.1+0m5_armel.deb

I see that camera-ui file above is downgrade because I have CSSU 8...and I just kept it go on.

Then I reboot phone, and the problem happened as the screenshot above. I can take picture, but video recording just work only one or two frame at start of capture.

Note that I use Internal memory to save media, is that wrong or I have to use SD card ?

I need all of your help so much as right now it feel so bad to hold a lovely phone which doesn't operate camera well..even I don't know how to restore back the original camera ui beside reflashing this device several times again include repartitioning for the loveliest preenv game. Plus the great Community SSU. I love them all.

To be honest, Xterm, Sudo gainroot, Kernel-config.....and more are very very new to me as I'm just a simple Windows user. But the forum has helped me many things regarding this, that brings me up to all of these. Otherwise I would sell out my N900 in a couple of week after buying without knowing that it is so powerful like this at all

I need your help please.

the black screen is due to too low voltage on dsp, disable SR/increase voltages for 720 and 805 frequencies on dsp profile and reboot you should be fine.

No you are doing good, yes downgrade is required, but you wont lose much except the ability to upgrade apps, as a workaround you can use the deb which karam had posted few posts back.

Sorry nkirk,
But what you mean by disable SR ? What is SR ?

You said increase voltages for 720 and 805..so I can write any number ? Example: 800, 1000 ? Is it possible ?

Sorry I figure out what you mean, nkirk. SR = Smart Reflex ?
And you told me to increase voltage...for 720, 805 frequencies..I also figure out, it's the number 60 right ? So I made it to 70.

I will tell the result later.

Thanks.

No dont do like that, i should have been more specific. pls make SR vdd1= 0. For starters put a voltage of 48 for 720, 51 for 805.

With SR=1 (on) even if it says 60 for a particular frequency, it will only supply much less than that, but when you disable it, mpu(processor) will be supplied with 60, which is more than enough (70 is overvoltage which will fry ur mpu!), so lower it to the figures i've mentioned earlier and keep lowering them untill u find the sweet spot.

Oh, so please take a look here:

This dsp file, the bold letter is where I edited it:

Code:
"frequency:volt,dsprate"
FREQS="0:30,90 125:30,90 250:38,180 500:48,360 550:54,400 600:60,600 720:48,600 805:51,600 850:60,600 900:60,600 950:60,600 1000:60,600 1100:72,600 1150:72,600"

OK, but camera-ui installs just fine. If I might ask freemangordon to answer me, as i assume me and him will understand each other much better on our own language!! (Bulgarian)
Well, I will translate "cannot access archive: No such file or directory" for you:

архива не може да се достъпи: няма такъв файл или директория

In other words try to execute dpkg in folder you've downloaded the files. Make a simple ls in directory where you think the files are downloaded and check.

Man/lady, search how to properly overclock your n900, your voltages/frequencies are very bad.

It's very nice to set the voltages as what you suggest, nkirk.
Right now I can record the video, the camera is working now. However, during recording, the video in the screen seems not running smooth but when I play it seems OK.

Does this relate to voltage ? Can I set more voltages, and what is the appropriate voltage should I set ?

@ freemangordon,
I'm a man Hi
Sorry to bother you, can you please tell me which is a good place for the reference of overclocking it ? Because what I did here I just follow what nkirk told in this thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...70&postcount=5

Or can you make one preset format frequency/voltage so that I can just follow it, the better.

I'm totally bad to the overclocking..and never tried any before either PC or phone like this N900.

Again thank for all your help,
