vi is a line editor (not to be confused with a text editor) that most would say is a pain in the butt to use. But it has the extreme advantage of being really fast and awesome once you have meorized all of the commands.

Personally I prefer nano, then emacs, then vi (or better is vim, which is VI improved..)

My opinion is joe's own editor (joe). Didn't find it from any repos, so I compiled it by my self for N900. In case somebody also loves joe it can be downloaded from here: joe_3.5-1_armel.deb

Btw, are we going to be there today? I hope so really! All my fingers are grossed and writing is getting little bit difficult.

I saw that previous Firmware announcement was made by QGIL at 12:03 am EST.

It's 1:30 am now.

The more it delays, more is the probability of getting Meego before PR 1.2.

pr 1.1.1 and 1.01 both showed up at about 7am UK time which i believe is 9am in finland so lets see in 18 minutes lol
