Try SEARCHING for the information. Google is your friend.

It took me about ten seconds to find a site that did the conversion.
Google is even more of a friend than you think. You don't need to find a site, Google "300 euros in dollars" and the wonderful Google calculator will give you the conversion...

When I'm skeptical my alternatives are xe.com and Wolfram Alpha.

Now, what would be really great is if we could port that Symbian rate conversion app I like, or clone that wonderfull iRate from the iPhone. Maemo suxx!!!

Sorry for OT.

Considering they gave more than 300 devices for free, it makes up for more or less 500 devices for enaged Maemo users/developers.

That's the same number of devices they were giving away with former discounts (for the 770, n800, n810).

The price is higher now, but more than 300 were given away for free...
hmmm, I don't have enough karma. I was thinking about developing apps, but SDK is not enough for my purposes. So, I'm waiting for the real device, which is delayed...

When I see, that Nokia employees are receiving discounts (although they probably have already access) and when I'm reading about free devices for journalists and similiar people, I don't feel too good.

I'm very disappointed in this moment.

Update: see my comment about Nokia employees below (my apologies, if my words were incorrect)

Please continue the discussion of OS and device compatibility breaks and the problems they do and do not cause in the new thread created for exactly that. Thank you.

*shakes head*

Can't believe the whining in this thread.

This is one heckuva generous offer by Nokia.

I'm a noob here, but maybe by the time the next device rolls around I'll have developed enough code to have sufficient karma if Nokia decides to extend a similar offer....that's some inspirational incentive right there

I hope the discounted devices still contain that "feature" found in the loaner devices...

Nokia employees didn't get invitations and are excluded from any device program.

I don't think as it s really a expensive feature, and Nokia could surely not provide support for it.

If you're right, my apologies.
