jeeeez , i've to do all that to flash the phone !!!! man , i dont understand nothing about phones , softwares and stuff....i m so .........screwd....
Why having Viruses and malware programed?all people using exactly the same devices with same OS as the devlopers. thats not making sense coz part of Linux

Very few viruses/malware have been created for Linux at the moment. The majority of the ones people have encountered are "social experiments," simply proving that malware is possible on Linux.
People create viruses 1.) To gain personal information about others 2.) To use said information for immoral gains
A small amount viruses are created just to mess with people (i.e. the Life is beautiful for Windows).

3) Just because the device has CPU, can run programs and has network connection. Most botnetworks are happy just to get access to computer resources, they don't necessary care about personal information. Just to have one bot more to their botnetwork, so they can sell DoS attacks and blackmail and sell/use bots as anonymity proxies.
I am very concerned about Maemo because the current security policy is as swiss cheese. People give straight *.deb links and people install them (dpkg) without any authentication check.
It is just a matter of time or perhaps we all aready have a sleeping horse in our devices.

Hi , a while ago I posted this thread , and did every step as it been told me to do , but when i tried to run the exe . , i was able to run nothing ... insted of a smartphone i got a stupidphone , .....lol...enough...going to take him to nokia care center...my litle dumbass baby lol...
