****************************** UPDATE ******************************

I'm glad to announce the brand-new version of Grr NG !!!

This is a uncomplete list of the new features :

- Revamped UX to stick more to MeeGo and a little of my own.... ;-) (some people have said they love my custom maemo theme in viewing my previous screenshots, so i did an attemp to provide my theme inside the application UX CSS style, because Qt allows it)
- Settings dialog to set orientation settings and filter on updated feeds
- added an header over the list of entries with details of feed (because i made a cleanup on titlebar)
- added a larger strip over the content view with many details on the viewed news : publishing date, title (with working word wrapping if text is too long), author name, website, category....
- switching between view is just instantaneous
- i have integrated the maemo information banners between the UX element to avoir them to pass over and block the clicking, and gived them a nicer looking
- accelerated all slide gestures in lists and viewports
- corrected a bug that made some entries not being marked as read or as favorite when using 'Previous' / ' Next' button
- beautified Connection dialog (now in 'Account Settings')
- removed old maemo menus in titlebar, and just added a nice 'About' dialog instead.
- many other improvements.....

you can find it as usual in my FTP :
http://modern-os.projects.servhome.o...1.99_armel.deb

As you will see, i've improved compilation and packaging :
- the package takes 1.0 MB instead of 1.3
- version is set to 2.1.99 to avoid replacemetn by old version from repos...
- the Name is now 'Grr NG' to differentiate it in the menu
- icon is back

Hope you love it !

Cheers.

PS : in respone to barzam, are in the work :
- customizable color in the whole UX from a single hue of color
- un/foldable categories for feeds (labels are already showed up in the content header)
- extra repos will be done as soon i will have an invite and an id for that...
- for the donation, that's good from you but i really prefer greeting and smiles ;-)

Great work, I'll try to test it later.

Aren't you going to upload the package to Extras?

Thanks a lot TheBootroo!
As a regular user of Grr I think your revamped UX was much needed!

Just something I noticed:

- scrollbars: are they really needed? can't they be made non-permanent (ie appear when scrolling and then fade away)?
- in feed list (portrait mode), it is possible to pan left or right too, which is annoying; moreover, the numbers of unread posts in each always become hidden and reappear only when panning left
- the buttons on the settings dialog are too tiny and difficult to select with your thumb, especially the close button (this stands for the about dialog too)

Anyway, thanks again for your efforts and the time you spent on this project! Great job!

sorry i can't move the button easily, but when i will have found a trick for moving buttons from one side to other instead of replicating (ouch) the whole toolbars and hiding the other i will do it

3 new items in feed. Enter feed, next, next - I don't see 3rd item. Repeated several times.

@TheBootroo

Great job! I really love this new release.

Let me ask you something... is it possible to make GRR play the youtube videos that are embedded on a feed?

GRR doesn´t show the youtube videos for me. Do I have to install anything else?
