I think that You already found how to do this

It will be a very long list to choose town - I don't like it. I can add customizable header to clock. Then You write there City name, set correct TZ for it - and get city and time for it on desktop.

I'll think about such feature...

Yes, it will be a kind of list. Header would be better then nothing. However the magic is, that the database of cities contains the TZ, so setting a country / city automatically sets the TZ (and also the DST). This is great, because I do not have to set the time zone myself and can rely on the phone setting. This is very useful when you come to some place and immediately you know what time is it. Many times I appreciated the feature on my old phone.
There is such database in the Nokia Time and Alarms. Could you use it?

If you're taking requests for a portrait clock, i'd like to say i'd love it. Autorotate if possible would be a dream

Do You want the rotation in a desktop widget, or just usual application with portrait mode enabled?

Rotation would be perfect, because coupled with DrLaunch i could have a screen that can be used in both settings, whereas portrait only would mean having to specifically set out a portrait screen

I launched twice, works very well.

Just a note: I could not have launched it twice on the same screen, but it worked well on the other screen and then I moved to the original one, for two clocks above each other (just to be labeled :-) )

As I see it, the best place for the label would be below the clock, in a separate line, displayed in the same color. Selectable font / size would be just fantastic.

Anyway, I am going to try this widget as a night clock, connected to power and set to display on when powered. Large digits, on a separate screen with empty background (Desktop+). When I wake up during night, I do not want to switch on the light to check the time, because that would wake me up so much that I cannot fall asleep again. A very dimmed clock is the right thing. All the clocks which I ever tried, emanate too much light - those who set it, most probably never tried it in total darkness. Here, since I can set the digits color, I can make it very dimmed. Just that the background light of the display is still a bit strong even if set to minimum.
But, in a combination with alarm clock launching a radio station in the morning, it seems that this could be a solution.

Thank you and good night :-) !

I use the N900 as a clock radio now: Alarmed launches 3 events:

1. Connect to WiFi
2. Launch PyRadio
3. (15 minutes or so later) standard alarm in case Pandora or WiFi is down

Avis, would it be, please, possible, to have a setting right from the widget setting the display brightness to minimum (dim) or less and back again?
Something light a night mode?
Is it possible to set less brightness than the minimum set by the Display brightness tool in the phone settings?
Thanks.
