Hmm, so have an 'archive' of the sheet as it is now and then remove all those we figure are no longer updating? If a deleted user should come back we point them at the archive so they can quickly copy their old scores back. (not sure if you can copy and paste from one Google doc to another.) Note: if you load the spreadsheet there is a 'Download As...' option under the file menu should you want to copy it to your local machine.

How should we determine users to remove? I'm thinking come up with an arbitrary number (lets say 4) and if you have no scores for any of the games going back the last 4 worlds/themes in any of the games released then we remove the user's score from the current spreadsheet. I'm also thinking of deleting the 'Below Max' formulas for those users who haven't participated in a particular game--that should free up a lot of Formula space. Seasons just released a Summer update so we're going to need it.

Also: Google now has a little warning appearing above the spreadsheet with a link to this info on spreadsheet limits:
Spreadsheets: 400,000 cells, with a maximum of 256 columns per sheet. Uploaded spreadsheet files that are converted to Google spreadsheets format can’t be larger than 20MB, and need to be under 400,000 cells and 256 columns per sheet.

More information about spreadsheets limits
40,000 of your cells can have formulas.
Certain formulas have their own specific limits, too, to make sure that even complex spreadsheets stay fast.
Up to 1,000 GoogleFinance formulas
Up to 1,000 GoogleLookup formulas
Up to 50 Cross-workbook reference formulas and/or Functions for external data.
VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP formulas tend to be more complex than other formulas. If your spreadsheet is slowing down or you think you may be approaching limits, you may want to remove some of these formulas.
To determine the number of responses that a form can take, you need to take into account the number of questions in your form and the number of other cells of data within your spreadsheet.

I wish this had a "save replay" feature.
I scored 92760 in the same.

I just discovered a glitch in the spreadsheet. Please review and revise your scores for Seasons Greedings (xmas) levels 2 and 3. Somehow those two lines were switched with each other. It looks like it must have happened sometime after scores were first added as mine were correct.

Also in spreadsheet revision news, I've removed the 'BelowMax' calculation on all Seasons and Rio levels for people who had not entered any scores at all. This freed up a ton of formula space. This should give us some breathing room while we decide what other changes to make. In the future we'll need to watch for anyone scoring those games for the first time and reinsert the formulas for them.

After downloading the last "upgrade" I could not open Angry Birds. I tried off and on for the last couple of weeks. Finally, yesterday, it opened so I have left it open until I could at least get some scores on the board for Mine and Dine. Really frustrating - I'm afraid to close it for fear it won't open again. Not backed up either (my bad). Oh well, it's just a game...it's just a game...sigh. Hope there will be a fix for this problem. (iPod Touch gen2, 8gb, latest iOS). Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

There was a problem for many people after the update where it would take a very long time to load. The speculation is this was for some sort of data update process. After the game finished loading startup speeds went back to about normal. This might have been what was happening to you. Did the game just sit for a long time or did it 'crash' and exit back out to the home screen without you doing anything?

Some people report that either closing all apps (double-click home button, press and hold on an app icon that appears at the bottom and then touch the '-' sign that appears on each app) and/or power cycling the device (hold top button until a power-off switch appears on screen then toggle the switch and count to 10,20, or whatever before pressing the top button again to start the device) helps to get the app started.

Performing a backup shouldn't hurt I would think. Enable backups on your computer, connect your ipod and ensure a backup is created. On mine it does it automatically every time I connect. I think you can manually start a backup by right-clicking the device in itunes and selecting backup from the menu.

Also, Rovio is supposedly about to implement some sort of cloud save system for scores and level progress so you no longer have to worry about losing your data in the future. Bad news is it isn't here yet and you will probably need to make it through to that update before you no longer have to worry.

Thanks, CougRon, for the advice. The game sits with dark screen for 20-25 seconds, then returns to home screen without my doing anything. I will try your suggestions. My system is not multi-tasking so I don't think other apps running is the problem. I have power cycled it several times with no luck. On the positive side, the game play seems much "snappier" now that it's running. I like the sound of the cloud save system. I think you are right about waiting for the cloud. Also could try a backup. Syncing always scares me because I don't fully understand what is going to sync with what Thanks again and also thanks for all your work on the spreadsheets.

Angry Birds Free got an update today with three new levels (VI-1,2,3). I've updated the spreadsheet with spaces for them.

Important Note for you completionists: Unlike previous levels added to the free version these three appear to be unique levels not seen in the paid version.
