I noticed, whenever I Disable sms replies and I exit the program and re-activated it, the check-mark stays but the gray area for the sms replies are there and can be checked back.
Also, if you disable sms replies, how will you check the status of the phone? is there another way like using linux shell or something? or can that information be sent to your email?

This has been fixed in the next version. At the time, didn't know how to do this properly - now I know a little more..
This is just to inform if the command you sent has been registered. It has nothing to do with the result of the command itself. For example if you send the Location command you will get an SMS reply that the command has been activated in the phone and later depending on your other settings you will get the coordinates. Disabling the SMS replies will only stop the first SMS and not the Location command result.
It is also more clear in the next version.

Alright that's what I was thinking too but whenever I send a location command, I see my GPS signal comes on but I don't receive any text message. Mmm... maybe I am doing something wrong. Also, I downloaded this yesterday so I assume the issue with Disable SMS replies got fixed... particularly since there is no new update for it. But it seem the problem still persists.
Also is it possible to make it so that the program cannot be removed without the correct password is entered? Anyway, lets take care of my problems first.
I sent a "Location" text to the phone but never received anything back. The same with other commands, eg. "Power", never received any text. Anything I am doing wrong?

The next version hasn't been yet uploaded.
You can check the log file for what is going on:
Code:cat /tmp/smscon.log

I have installed smscon and editor today, loved every idea and effort behind them, thanks.
Everything seems working, but my N900 is not locking. When it receives sms, locking password screen comes, but if you touch empty area, it says device is not locked. I tried to cancel any password from settings/device lock, so it can directly lock itself, device lock settings are not allowing to empty password as far as I can see.
Am I missing something?
I tried to scan this thread, but it is too long, so sorry if answered before...
edit: Ok, nobody answered, but I think I solved my problem. After manually locking device with "secure device" option in power button menu, my n900 seems to accept locks wit smscon.
I checked all the thread and found out that this problem/question asked by others several times and never got an answer. Probably most of users don't encounter this problem. I hope this helps others.
