I have never had anything but grief ordering from buy.com. I will never purchase from them again after , what I am calling , the saga of the broken and double monitors.

Also in response to battery lasting all day comment. If you read the power profiles thread - looks like battery lasting all day wont be an issue for 75% of users, those who use phone and internet a reasonable amount should be fine

anyone else worried that by the time they get the n900 they'll have forgotten what it is they used to look at on the internet other than n900 related information?

on that note anyone have a list of the first things they're going to try when it's finally in their hands?

Check out Witter, a twitter client for N900

If Witter isn't working for you, eg crashes/doesn't start, gives errors etc etc. Please run it from x-term using:
run-standalone.sh python2.5 /opt/witter/witter.py

This will generate diagnostic output. Without this I cannot help you.

Wrote to amazon.co.uk about the delay. This is the response I got:
