But please ... do spend a few more words here on what you'd like to achieve ... I'm thinking about it ... and got several ideas which might help those other QB(uttons)W addicted out there with custom button-press FX

I'd be happy (at this stage! ) to be able to have any .png I choose appear behind my icon on click, although an animated icon (like an N900 opening) would be the ultimate
Thank you for the quick reply!
Kind Regards,

Uhm ... ATM I can think about several "special FX"
1) After click, hide whole widget and display alternative png for specified milliseconds, after that show whole widget (New development needed here)
2) After click, hide whole widget and display custom animation progress icons, then turn on widget (New development needed here)
3) You draw you button and make widget a bit wider and taller (make sure you center your button png inside widget), then you draw 1 or more frames for the press feedback (with transparency where you need it) and you are done ... (NO development needed here)
Feel free to suggest other options...
Ciao.

Do you think having multiple frames will cause any delays/slowdown in program startup?

Not much ... as the dbus-send command returns almost immediately and animation stops.
But I think animation will be overlayed by application starting and firing fullscreen ...

Quick question, is there another Beecon directory folder I can put my Beecon images in which will be seen by QB but not by the photo/image-viewer?
Maybe it's just me...
but if there's any way I'd prefer to not see icons with photos if possible?
Kind Regards,
D4rKlar
PS I've made up some Press-FX icons similar to my app manager effect, haven't got them to work yet tho! Watch this space
