Your device already has the latest SUPPORTED software NO update is needed.

My N900 has the leaked FW flashed to it.
Thanks Bill, that is interesting to know, I would suggest that one way to read that would be that there are no newer supported firmware versions for your phone on NSU, and that it does not by itself imply that the version you are currently running is supported.

It is good to see that the NSU can read the firmware version with your firmware and doesn't throw an error.

It states the current FW as 10.2010.12-9

Thats the FW its saying is SUPPORTED now i think thats kinda ironic coming from official NOKIA software dont you?.

it says the same thing for my pr 1.1. So what's your point?

The NSU tells you when there is an official update out. There isn't any out so why should it say otherwise.

Where you expecting it to say, "Look here, mother****er. Your **** is the new **** so **** off"?

/me pinches himself to make sure he's still alive.
Yep. I am.

The great thing about this phone is that it hides how complicated it really is.
Updates take time. You want a tested update, correct?

Don't worry, there will be an update.

The only thing complicated about the N900 is the person using it.
Dont hold your breath for the update is all i can think of saying right now.

How come there is noone from Hk on this thread? Surely there must be one person?

It's mentioned earlier in the thread that there could be problems for those in HK who may need to reflash there phones, if that is the case then could someone from HK not "have a problem" with there phone and ask nokia what to do?

Seriously this whole Pr1.2 thingy is turning into a bad episode of LOST! for every answer there's like a million and one knew questions! hehe

From my own (non-engineer) experience, the most important factor when dropping electronic devices in water is speedy removal of current (remove the battery ASAP!). Then let the thing dry well (and I mean well, since little drops in confined spaces tend to stay wet a long time). Finally, reassemble, turn on, and prey.

I dropped my n900 while talking a bath like the second day I got it (it dove right to the bottom...). Luckily, no harm was done.

Good luck.
