So all the N9s they received yesterday have been sold..
The tricky part for them is the fact that I haven't recieved a shipping email yet, and i ordered Monday. If I call them Monday and they haven't shipped it, I'm cancelling my order.

It's the evil plan of the enemy. Meanwhile just keep using the self manufactured "Texas Ranger Elite".
I you want to join my special ops team to retake nokia's hq in espoo from the treacherous anglo-saxon invasion spearheaded by elop you're welcome.

What about just getting the N8 and downloading Belle? Thats what I did. Its still just a weaker Andoid-copy and its nowhere near good enough to compete with Android on my SGS2. Im predicting its nowhere near what the N9 offers either.

The big etailers in Sweden are listing the N9 as being available around mid october now so my guess is that it will not be widely available until november.

And in other news the swedish Nokia dudes are confirming that the N9 will get software updates until at least 2015. I don't believe it though, everything more than one year is good enough for me.

Well, Nokia has said they will support the device.

I just was dead set on getting this phone early next week, since it was all confirmed and good tones from both Nokia and Telenor concerning my 3 (THREE!!!) calls inquireing about assurances on delivery date.

And now it seems I have to wait until the 22nd at best because Telenor failed to report that they had sold more units than they were getting yesterday.

That is insanely ****ed up beyong belief.

With all the marketing going on for the N9 I'm not surprised that it's sold out already. But as the N9:s sold in Scandinavia are made in Finland shipping only takes one day or so to Norway so I still think you will get your N9 next week ... or the week after.

And I hope Nokia will ship my N9 soon; "You'll be among the first to get your hands on the N9 once it's available for sale"
And next email; "We'll be back in touch when the N9 is available for sale to confirm shipment, etc."
That should have been Friday

Thats still a week or two where I have to use the N8 instead of my SGS2, which is a "minor" speedbump.

But no, the confirmed date for the only supplier of the N9 over here is 20th for the magenta 16gb version, meaning they may recieve it the 20th, which of course is a friday, meaning they might not get shipped until monday the 24th and Id have it between the 26th or 28th.

So most likely a month without a decent phone.

Gary: "Hey, Bob, check this out: we ordered 700 units, and we have 800 preorders. MAYBE, and this is just a thought, we should ****ing MENTION this to customers?"
Bob: "****em"
Gary: "wow bob, you're a dick"
Bob: "YOURE FIRED!"
Gary: "really?"
Bob: "Only kidding, Gary."
Gary: "phew, I was about to **** myself. we on for beer tomorrow?"
Bob: "you betcha. bring your daughter!"
Gary: "thats still creepy, dude"
Bob: "haha handle it"

or something like that.

Asia is worse. I've been in and out of Mexico City without incident in the past. Thank goodness I don't look like I have money - I really don't, so they'd only get enough ransom for a fast food meal with a very small soft drink at best.

No updates today though.

Hey! Leave some of those N9's to us Finns too!

Don't think it will be that straightforward as N9 seems to have quite a bit of demand. There's probably some certain amount of N9 for each country in certain time frame as Nokia tries to get trough the pre-orders in each country.
