Great app ! most used in time on my IT.
My suggestions :
- an option to stat the channel automatically
- an option to reload the channel regularly
- use of a flash profile to enable this widget : http://www.chumby.com/guide/widget/Slider%20Clock
- I'm not against disq suggestion but via an option only : centered is ok for me
- what about itt specific widgets (itt or maemo news, itt active forum topic ...)

thanks again !

Tried installing it on my n770 running OS2008HE and it just says Loading for about 30 seconds and then quits.

Bah, same result on OS2007HE.

Nokia-770-36:~# grumby
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/grumby", line 43, in <module>
import gtkmozembed
ImportError: libpangocairo-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Any ideas?

I successfully installed Grumby on my n810 under Diablo
Hitting the center button the d-pad to show the channel overview list crashed the app, though everything else seemed to work nicely.

This is a really interesting app for maemo, it would be nice to see it in Garage or in extras.

Any updates?

I too am impressed by this project. It occurs to me that any chumby developers might like to be offered source code etc as it would make the nokia into a useful development tool for chumblets.
I tend to leave my n800 by the bed at night so having it run grumby would give it an extra usage, so I shall give it a go.
thanks

So far so good. Installed deb, made virtual chumby. Cut and paste web virtual info. Run Grumby and it begins to scroll through apps.
But... soon as I touch it, to pop bubble wrap or play a video, it closes. (if you want xterm output let me know how to view it.)
N800 os2008 w/patch. I might be out of memory.

Thanks for the report. Unfortunately, OS2008 Diablo broke sound playback in grumby. The output I get is this:

Code:
~ $ grumby
/usr/bin/python2.5: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so: undefined symbol: esd_play_stream
Not sure what to do about this, but I'll try recompiling the gtkmozembed python bindings with an updated sdk when I find some time.
