Hi,

I installed this application and now I have 2 .desktop files on my device.
/usr/share/application/hildon-status-menu/CallNotify.desktop
/usr/share/applications/hildon-status-menu/CallNotify.desktop

Are both necessary?

@nicolai: No, the application (without the 's') is a leftover from a typo I had you can safely remove it. By the way - I think I've removed it in 0.0.4-1 - which version do you have?
@zlatko, @puiradu and @ammaditra - I think there is a dependency issue and the application silently fails in your N900. I'll try harder to figure out what I was missing and update that for the next version. By the way - do you have the status-menu GUI (if you do, it means the app doesn't silently fails)?
@zail, I'm sorry for the +5 notification, still working to improve this kind of bugs. Regarding the save button - well I thought of that - do you think that it should close the window? I had doubts about it.
@f2thak, @plaban & @pillar, I understand why you don't like it. I believe that the natural place is in the settings menu. But as long as this is an alpha version - you need a quicker access to the "manually remove notificaion" button, and more important - I don't have the technical knowledge yet of how to add a python setting menu icon (and believe me, I've searched pretty hard for how to do that).
Really hope that in the future I would be able to move it to the settings, but right not it's a bit over my head.

I don't like it the settings in status bar because my status bar is already full and I don't want to scroll down to go to the settings.

By the way, it might take me some time so continue working on that. Because except all others commitments I have, by accident I did a "rm -r *" on /var/ - never do that - and now reflashing...

If that's the only reason you can change the order of status menu buttons.
But as I said, I also think it's not the natural place for the GUI, I just don't have the technical knowledge to overcome this issue for now.

Tried to update to 0.0.4-1 from the previous version - response "Unable to update..". So I uninstalled the previous version and installed the 0.0.4-1. Doesn't seem to work - neither did the previous version.

And now I also can't uninstall it - getting response saying "Unable to uninstall Call notify".. Any idea what's wrong and how I can remove the app?

So it's a leftover from a previous version. I've just checked and in 0.0.4-1 I've removed this directory.

Thanks for this real great app!!!

Notifikation of Email, sms and calls works fine. But there is no notifikation of IMs (skype).

Further there is just a notification of the last event. E.g. if I recieve an sms it shows it by blinking in the statusbar. When I then have missed call, sms notification is replaced by the one for missed calls (same with email). So I just see the last missed event.
