i get this when trying to upgrade erminig with FAM

--auto-remove install erminig
--- 2011-01-09 11:45:02 ---
Output from last process:
---
Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mp-fremantle-generic-pr: Depends: modest (= 3.4.8+0m5) but 3.2.13-3+0m5 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

for what i can make of it, it needs modest to be some other version?

if i change the modest it will remove this awesome portrait mode?

edit: same problem when trying to update FAM too, did apt-get install -f to update modest, and portrait still works and got to update erminig and FAM with no problems.

edit2: spoke too soon. portrait mode in email stopped working after updating modest with apt-get install -f.

any solution so i dont have to install modified modest every time i upgrade apps?

(apt-get -f install wants to remove mp-fremantle-generic-pr)

just to be clear, this is what happens when i try to install anything, efter installing modest portrait.

Edit: downloaded the original modest package and reinstalled that. no problems any more...

How do i use this portrait moldest version with out my apt-get going down?
Could you tell me where you downloaded the original modest package? I tried finding it but I am not sure which one I need to have.

I've added (experimental) portrait mode support to modest, i might go on and do this to some other stock open source apps (the settings app would be one)

Code:
root
wget http://mohammadag.xceleo.org/public/maemo/debfiles/portrait/modest_3.2.13-3+0m5_armel.deb
dpkg -i modest_3.2.13-3+0m5_armel.deb
pin the package with
Code:
echo "package: Modest
pin: Release a=unstable
pin-priority: 1001" >> /etc/apt/preferences
other fixes:
put signatures not on top in replies (thereby not forcing top-post)

modest is not integrated in the SSU nor in the MCSP, yet.

//EDIT:
...new mcsp arrived. Now with modest.

Works for me - either something along the network wasn't connecting, or you mis-typed it, or some other issue happened. I recommend trying again.

I upgraded modest using the information in the first post.

Now fapman is giving me the same error as above. I pinned the package as shown in the first post. What did I do wrong?

Online Translation --- ----

I confirm this bug.

I uninstall mp-fremantle-generic-pr with: apt-get-f install
as it says:

mp-fremantle-generic-pr is just a meta package which does not serve any purpose other than pulling
the needed packages for maemo 5. If that

There may be some other problems uninstalling mp-fremantle?
