Wouldn't that be an oxym0ron; "trusted review of the Turing device"

Here is the link

Yeah, compared to the devastating digitaltrends review this one is comparatively positive. The review in a nutshell:
1) Sailfish is an OS with high potential
2) The looks of Turing Dark Wyverin differs significantly from other smarthphones, which is great and makes it an eyecacher
3) Many things (better processor, custom UI, end2end encryption, water proof coating, Google Service,...) are not implemented yet so no final conclusion for now.

Problem is (in my eyes):At the moment a few persons have a cool looking phone with mediocre specs and a basic SFOS support. If Turing continues at their current pace the first units of the final phone (all the features implemented) can be shipped to the backers around the year 2073

TRI has paid a company or agent for the social media. They have been trying to win back the accounts for some time. But without success. That's why new accounts are being created on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and Instagram. The links are distributed in a separate e-mail.

And Turing just improves as time goes by. Introducing Turing Fuel, coming (apparently) with Cadenza.

Bonus:

TRI will also make the official pre-announcement of its second generation mobile device on January 1st, 2017.

I was even surprised that they got any(!) device to be sent out to anybody.
Just producing those boxes for the phone might have cost some chinese slave labour at least.
Anyway a teardown of the evaluation device might be pretty interresing.

From the mobilescout.com article:

(Oh boy)

The Fuel Chamber is the processing plant which contains a replaceable solidified chemical fuel that reacts with water vapor from the Fuel Cell to produce hydrogen gas. The Fuel Cell, on the other hand, combines hydrogen gas from the Fuel Chamber and oxygen from the atmosphere to produce electricity.
So, the fuel cell sends water to the fuel chamber, which makes hydrogen from the water that it sends back to the fuel cell to combine with oxygen to make power. Luckily, that water can then be recycled back into the fuel chamber to . . . well . . . perpetuate the process, and, um, keep everything in motion.

Let me just drag this out again (and of course -- as always -- with my apologies to Cory Doctorow)

This article proposes a

( ) mechanical (X) thermal ( ) gravitational ( ) voodoo

approach to create infinite/cheap energy. Your idea will not work. Here is why it won't work. (One or more of the following may apply to your particular idea, and it may have other flaws.

( ) You made a math error
(X) You have made a faulty assumption
(X) You don't understand physics
( ) You keep saying "greater than unity"

Specifically, your plan fails to account for

( ) Mechanical Friction
( ) Physical constants
( ) Laws of motion
(X) Laws of thermodynamics
( ) Asshats
( ) Gravity
( ) Turbulence
( ) Division by zero yielding undefined result
( ) Unit conversions
( ) Unavailability of infinately strong materials
( ) Unavailability of a perfect vacuum
( ) Solar heating
( ) Stuff that's lighter than air still having mass
( ) Translation losses

and the following philosophical objections may also apply:

(X) Ideas similar to yours are easy to come up with, yet none have ever
been shown practical
(X) Smarter people than you have tried to do this before

Furthermore, this is what I think about you:

(X) Sorry dude, but I don't think it would work.
( ) This is a stupid idea, and you're a stupid person for suggesting it.
( ) Nice try, assh0le! I'm going to find out where you live and burn your
house down!

hmmmmmm........ I have yet to see the first generation.........I've heard that they are waiting for sailfish port of Duke Nukem Forever to be finished so that they can bundle that with the phone for free for those who preordered android version in 2013

Hilarious

But they state the "solidified chemical fuel" aka "Salt?" is replaceable.
So i guess you would need to refill or replace the water after "some" time?.
How they handle the process and generate enough juice to recharge any sort of mobile device is beyond my imagination though.
