Maybe we should enlist the ira hahaha but seriously if all he has got to offer is WP for Nokia then why the hell is he CEO?, he is killing everything Nokia stood for and the reason they have or had many customers and followers.

I read a post somewhere on here where someone called it FUD that 92000 N9 units are all there is and to be honest it is sure as hell looking that way by the availability in all countries.

IF the N9 turns out to be Nokia's best device ever then Elop needs to stand down purely for the way he is controlling Nokia now because all he wants is the N9 out the way for WP.

Elop took Nokia's only cow (symbian + Meego) and traded it for some magic beans (WP7) and now hopes he can grow a magic plant and grab gold coins and a gold egg chicken.

He (and Nokia's future ex-shareholders) will soon discover that there is no such thing as magic beans.

There is a lot of sense in what your saying and like the "ex shareholders" bit .

The only comment i can make at this time is about the majority of Nokia fans either being for or against WP.

This community does not stand for closed anything and strives for the openess of everything, WP will be almost 100% closed so he had better hope the "majority" does not feel the way this community does or he is dead meat as a CEO.

After playing with the N9 one thing that did strike me very hard was the fact that Nokia have put a hell of a lot of time and development not only behind the os but the sleek build and materials, the feel and the way it has been put together as a "futuristic" device that would for sure set the way forward, for what??? Elop to push that all aside for WP???, he is stir crazy and must be being paid by Microsoft to completely finish Nokia off altogether.

The N9 is everything and more than the N900 should have been.

Except the keyboard, that is the n950.

I specially like how Damian points that Nokia has the volume to order a custom-built sensor for the camera, but then goes to not use it for much... (Unless those 8MPX WP7 cameras use this module, which is pretty likelly).

I don't particularly hate WP7. But like Android, iOS and other before then, they can't handle my pace. I like, and use, multi-tasking a LOT. Even my n8 can handle multi-tasking better than the competition.

I can read my social networks or email while I download a youtube video and wait for some webpage to load (conection here is really slow, so what makes browsing slow is the network, not the browser), all that while my maps is routing some way and listening to music. I could state some other activities that I could be doing imultaneously on that 680MHz piece of crap, and not one other phone (other than n900) can do this half as well, even with dual cores and gigs of ram.

It is usual, for me, to have 4 or 5 browser tabs open, visiting another site while the first is loading. And music is something that I use my phones a lot for.

Another thing is doing all that while on a call using speakers or external ear-phone. I do this very often.

In sum, when Android, WP7, iOS and all those crappy OS's graduate from being a "phone" OS to being a mobile computing OS I will probably jump this sinking ship, but for now I HAVE to stay... Oh, and when those ****ers learn how to make a frigging camera on a phone, because a n95 STILL makes better photos than 99% of the competition....

Step i of 5?
I agree with you 100%
I was always an advocate for Nokia developing Meego parallel with making hardware with WP7. After all, one is software, one is hardware. It's so sad on many levels, I'm surprised NOONE asked Elop this in any interview. Why the cuss not.
