@ agdroubi
change the clock speed to 250 and 850
it makes it hot because the minimum speed is @ 500 and that heats it up
if you can lower the min to 250. you will feel the difference

In Nitdroid's ./etc you will find 4 OC profiles, delete 3 of them using filebox, and edit your one, here is an example:
1. On Xterm:
Code:
mount /home /and
2. Using Filebox, navigate to /home/and/system/etc, ther you'll find ocprofilexxx-xxx-xxx. Delete 3 of them and leave one.
3. On Xterm:
Code:
leafpad /home/and/system/etc/"thefilethatyouleft"
4. In the file @ lowest frequencies set: 250000, @ highest frequencies set: 800000
5. In avoid frequencies, delete 250000.
6. Ctrl s to save
7. Reboot

you can download task killer from the market in nitdroid which can help free up ram. this improves performance

Download overclock widget from the market and use that to overclock. this works just as good. however you have to change the frequency everytime you boot into nitdroid. use that to change the freq and see which one you think is the best and to make it permenant follow the underneath instructions

1- install filebox from app manager in maemo
2- open filebox and go to settings and turn on root
3- go to /home/etc/power.conf
4- highlight that file and edit it
5- change the following like this

scaling_max_freq 850000
scaling_min_freq 250000

save it.

no need to...
changing the file in /home/etc/power.config is same as editing /and/etc/power.config

/home/etc/power.config is the symlink of /and/etc/power.config
so works without mounting!
it's much easier
