Worked fine for me too without lag except now that it requires flash 10+ and hence not usable.

Adobe has fully released flash 10.1 for Android today.
See here:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/06/22/flash_mobile/
According to the article, Meego is mentioned as well (among the rest mobile OSes except ios) but NOT maemo.
I didn't have time to look for the official news release, but it seems we are left out lads.

Ok, here's the adobe link. Officially no word on Maemo. Only meego.

I’m not sure you’re aware of what "devel" means in extras-devel.

So from a development perspective, how hard would it be to port a Meego version of Flash 10.1 to Maemo 5?

Nobody knows until it actually lands. Worst case scenario - impossible due to OS level extensions required, best case scenario - just replace the plugin file and use as a NPAPI plugin. Realistically, it’s probably going to be between the two.

Android 2.2 was just released.

Leaked Verizon documents show the Motorola Droid (550mhz processor+WVGA screen) will be getting Android 2.2 and Flash 10.1 late next month.
