If Meego is to die before it gets started then it should not be such a suprise if you knew the trouble Nokia are actually in.

My guess is Nokia gave development as much of a chance with both Maemo and Meego , decided it is not going anywhere are doing the best thing possible in such a situation and thats teaming up with the largest company of all time ie Microsoft so who is going to be able even to argue with this?, i would certainly do this is Nokia belonged to me and is failing thats for sure.

Look to the future and just maybe you will see one with Microsoft UNLIKE that of Maemo and Meego.

If everyone looks at this from a business point of view i think Nokia has just got the biggest windfall it ever had with this ex Gates wiz !.

So, the next Nokia phone will have a quad core 3.0GHz CPU, 2GB memory, a huge battery pack and 2TB of disk space but it will be slower, with less available disk space than n900 and an awful battery life. It will cost more, it will ask you to accept 12340987623 licenses before using it, it will require re-activation when the clock is wrong, it will only connect with microsoft windows, it will have a completely unappealing UI, it won't be able to play ripped movies (DRM) and some other formats, its multitasking will suck, its next OS update will happen after about 10 years and will be scrapped when Nokia's sells fall even more and the current CEO is ousted.

Way to go...

This is my observation too. And someone else might have noticed: They have lost billions on the stock market today.

while everybody known that those are complete rubbish and rubbish
The Gartner stats concern ALL Symbian sales (so including rather a lot of feature phones) whilst the Canalys report specifically references smartphones only - as Elop also makes clear in his statement.

As for the 'rubbishing' of the iPhone part - Elop is not talking about handset features, he's talking about the ecosystem (to use his own words from other parts of the memo). He's essentially saying that Nokia Smartphone + Ovi Store does not compare with iPhone + App Store

F*** Live broadcast! What's the point of wasting my time watching something like that? Something so stupid that makes my dog puke in the toilet when he heard about the stupid news. If I have a superpower, I would destroy them all for their evil plans to take over the world with WinMo. Seriously!! why the fuc*?

in Cambodian (khmer) "Lop" mean "******, stupid, crazy". Elop would make it "A stupid F*** person"
