Thanks for the reply NoobMonkey.
Well, I've just been on a webchat and the person on the other end reckoned I'm in a queue with the "retail team" when they were helping with high customer loads and I don't have an order number as I'd requested an upgrade on my Vodafone contract which they couldn't do until they're in stock...then the chat died before I could get more detail.
Sound feasible? I'm hoping my local Nokia store gets some in stock on the first delivery for walk-ins (they said they would), then I'll just pop down for upgrade, maybe??

Im goint to wait until I speak to someone at the NFS store Thurs night before deciding whether to cancel my MPD order. Im really in two minds as the t-mobile deal was so good, but Im reaching the point where Im losing faith with MPD
Will post here once I have spoken to them with my findings.
Its just a shame that it is Vodafone as it will cost alot more

What's my alternative to get it quicker...do NFS do new contracts? Could I just go in to the London store when they have walk-in stock (any idea when that is due to be?) and then port my number to a PAYG sim on another network, then back to that new Vodafone contract to keep it?
I'm miffed

Just cancelled my MPD pre-order via phone. I've got no confidence in the platform going forwards after this much fumbling by Nokia and partners. I'll wait a while, perhaps get one when they're cheaper and in the shops.
One more open slot in the queue for everyone else!

NFS do do new contracts, via mpd i think, i'm a bit confused with the stries on here, and i'm not sure if people have or have not successfully received their devices by walking in to the store and requesting a contratc. Would be useful to get a definitive answer on this one.
edit : Wow i really can't spell or type!

I really do wonder if anyone senior enough in Nokia knows anything about the failed n900 saga?!
