I had to copy these files to the MyDocs partition first, so you will have to set Backupmenu, BackupmenuLauncher, tar to be executable again.

please try these.

I am using a modified multiboot, but that has nothing to do with it imo, as multiboot is executed when /sbin/preinit is executed.

*I came across a similar issue while testing, when I did the following :
I added the lines responsible for launching maemo to the bottom of BackupmenuLauncher, and I added an option to Backupmenu and just used exit there.
this is wrong and leads to killing init and kernel panic.
is that what you did ?

the correct thing is to add nothing to Launcher, and add the lines under an option in Backupmenu.

also please note that when you continue booting maemo, and if you have boot menu, and don't have a list appear when boot menu is launched, then backup menu will be launched again unless you partially close the keypad before writing 'x' to exit backupmenu

[Edit] Sorry forgot to actually click upload! fixed .

For any archlinux users wanting mtd-utils_20090606, I have made an AUR package that will ease the installation rather than going through alternate means . More information about the AUR package including download can be found here.

I have to re-brush the PR1.3 and EMMC, but why every time you open the keyboard, a second later backupmenu will automatically restart? And can not be backed up and restored.
Sorry, my English is not very good.

Uh... you've got something else wrong, then. BM shouldn't care about the KB-switch position

Yes, I know. But I have to re-brush the ROM and EMMC, the system should be the most pure, it should not have any conflict, right?

Um... "re-brush"? Do you mean "reflash"?
And no, if you flash it back to the factory image, then install BM, there should be no problems(aside from no Terminal mode, which requires kernel-power).

For me, it seems as loose battery pins. Tends to break connection for a while during keyboard sliding. Try tightening them a little with needle.

Yes. Refresh. As it has been refreshed for the factory image, so I can not find where a problem. (The original OMAP1 kernel)
I have tried tighten battery pin a little with needle, but still did not solve the problem. Thank you.
