Is there any way to speed up the games? At the moment, VGBA is running at full speed for most games, however, still slower than my N85 Symbian phone. Albeit, I have been using VBag on Symbian instead of VGBA. Hopefully speed will improve on Maemo since hardware is so superior.

well, I have my fair share of emulated titles on My N900, especially genesis since picodrive was released in AMAZING condition. Sadly I don't know why all these guys are saying the keypad works well for directional control. Its pretty terrible. Its not like a real keyboard where you can lay your two hands flat on the buttons and easily execute rolling actions and hit diags by hitting two keys simultaneously and precisely. The keyboard is serviceable, but the N900 really needed a dedicated 8way dpad like its predecessors. All hating aside, its playable, but if you're going to be playing anything but tbs style strategies and rpgs, you may want to invest in a cheap bluetooth controller. Many of the emus have support already.

I'm playing super mario world on drnoksnes just fine with the keyboard. Just takes some getting used to

Anyway, if both drnoksnes and picodrive run at full speed there is no reason why a GBA emulator won't run at full speed as well.

I use the VBA emulator allthe time.

I'm very happy with it's performance.

However, I have a problem using the save option in my pokemon games. If I save my place the first time - it works fine. If I try to save again it appears to work until I load the rom again. This time it says "save file is corrupt using previous save" then reloads the first save.

I know I can just save a snapshot of the rom or start pokemon then delete the save game and resave but it's a pain in the backside.

Either all my pokemon roms are corrupt or it is a bug.

Other carts are fine. E.g Zelda, Fire Emblem and Castevania.

It's still a great app though.

I just wish someone would hurry up and write a PS3 emulator that would be cool - then someone can port OVI Maps 3 to it.

It lacks immersion, because it's not full screen. I removed the emulator.
Picodrive and Drnoksnes really look amazing because it fills up the whole screen, making you forget it's running on an emulator on a phone.

Kept the NES emulator, so I will try CTRL+enter with that then, since it isn't full screen either.
Thank you for this helpful tip!

Wondering what's up with fms. As in, is he still going to work on VGBA?
Shout out to fms if you're still alive

Would be great if it had the standard GUI (like drnoksnes/picodrive and now psx4all) I'm even willing to make the banner

i sent him a question asking him if he would ever consider continuing work on the vgba and he said "When I improve VGBA, you will know about it from the changelog"
so i guess there is some bit of hope that he has not forgotten it yet
