Hi, qole!

I did even know that there is the bug which refuse you to use pressure sensitivity with MyPaint?

Mine works just fine..
... only thing I did.

I had to set up MyPaint Global Pressure Mapping.
Just like anders_gud suggested on the first page of this thread.

And of course I do not use any of preset brushes.. only
customised or made from scratch. So brushes and pressure sensitivity behave like I want.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. So, I installed MyPaint like the anders_gud instructed on the first page.

2. Then I launched MyPaint and corrected Global Pressure Mapping.. made some test strokes... this is important!

I wish you good luck!

Tone =]

I meant to ask this too, thanks. Sadly even after trying what anders and Tone wrote I still havent figured out how to make it work like a wacom...

Will have to play with the brush making more.

one question i couldnt figure out.

when using a brush and draw a line for example. i lift the stylus and move to another part of the screen to draw another line. the problem is that it draws another line from when i lifted the stylus to started a new line automaticlly. how do i stop my paint doing this

I've had that problem too felbutss but it went away (I think when I changed my brush).

As for pressure sensitivity, using default brushes, it seems like stroke speed is used to determine thickness.

Awesome.

IŽd opt for a gallery section or thread somewhere to put the best sketches in there.
We already have a "best photo" thread so why not that one also...

I still get the connected lines even after following the instructions by Anders in the first post. If i don't touch the global settings i can paint without the connected lines but no pressure sensitivity. So the app is still very usefull and fun
Will allso play some more with brush making.

e: hahaha just tried it again and now it works for me, I think, well atleast i don't have connected lines anymore with the new global settings. One step forward Now to make my own brushes

This is a fun app...

Big thanks to creativetone for encouraging me to play with the brush engine. I was put off by the amount of options when I first tried it on day one of release and didnt really play with the settings, but I put in 2 hours of experimenting and now I'm quite comfortable with the engine. Now when I want a certain effect I can make a quick brush for it and fine tune it in under a minute.

So thanks buddy.

I know that I might be asking for a lot here but would it be possible to make using and navigating layers easier? I mostly ignore that functionality because its too easy to get lost when you dont know how the layers are ordered, how many layers there are and which layer you're in.

If there is some secret to using layers effectively, please let me know.
