Well, I confess.
After my big, expensive purchase
of the N900
I do in fact deeply regret
having bought my
Kindle.
Because I rarely use it anymore, being transfixed by my
N900.

Nope, Honestly I don't regret buying this wonderful device, beta or no it's still miles ahead of anything on the market right now and does everything I want and more.
Will I get Mameo 6 device? Hell yea!

Absolutely no regrets.
Sure there are some things that don't work, but I did my research first. I knew what to expect, and I always enjoy playing with new technology & moving it forward.
Once it's fully developed it becomes boring.
I realise that's NOT what some people want, so I think the questions here are more about how NOkia market the device. I don't think it took much effort to find out the current status
Sure, I wish all these things were fixed, and I hope we'll get Maemo 6. BUT EVEN IF NOT, the N900 is a fantastic device. It's probably the most exciting phone I've ever bought.
I'd rather want to thank Nokia for allowins us to have this device, and hope that the community here can continue developing the platform, providing honest/rapid feedback (further I hope for the same with M6)

Don't regret it at all! Although I do wish OVI Maps would step up their map program, it's honestly not as good as Google Maps. Google should step up and develop it for the N900 already!

But then, I didn't regret buying my 7710, my 9300, my N73, my N75 (it even ran a webserver for heaven's sake!), my 770, my N800.
I don't even regret spending the money on an N97.
They have each met many of the needs I had. When they didn't, I went and bought something else.
At least these days, I get to re-cycle them on eBay!
The N900 has been the best for what it does of the lot. But, the 7710 was gorgeous.

The only thing that made me not regret but actually angry is that just after a week I got my hands on my N900 the prize drastically dropped from AUD 910 to just around AUD 720 with local warranty. Though I just spent around AUD 760 but if any problem I have to send it back all he way to USA and this does scare me sometimes.

The n900 is the coolest technology thing I've ever owned. And I've owned a lot... Microchannel PS/2, IBM L40 laptop, Kyocera PalmOS smartphone, Zaurus c760, HTC Kaiser, plenty of thinkpads, and endless other tools and gadgets.
I've been waiting for that killer problem since I got it 3 weeks ago that renders it useless for me (like so many other too-good-to-be-true devices), but it never hit.
It's stable. It's fast. It's open. It works.
So, no.. absolutely no regrets. I only hope it's the first of a long line of *nix-based Nokia GSM tablets.
