Just tried this and it looks like an awesome application - very nice with the thumbnails!

I have not installed the applet yet but I noticed that it only allows me to call people via phone service. There is no easy way to select skype or other voip service without bringing up the dialer and changing the call type.

Would it be possible to show the different calling options available as separate buttons?

That is the goal... but the issue right now is that I can't (don't know how to) make the application start the call using any other service.

It is one of the next priorities...

Regarding CSS layout change....

I change contact_landscape.css to my liking but messing with contact_portrait.css the layout stayed all the same regardless of the configuration. Tried changing font-size (no response, fonts are always 24px) and changing PhoneSkypeButton width (nothing changed, icon width always 60px). Tried relaunching the app and nothing changed. Maybe there's something blocking the config?

I think there is a bug with the portrait style sheet on this version.... I am about to upload a new version that should work better.... Please make sure to copy your modified files somewhere else before installing the new version because it will try to replace them automatically.

I just figured out what went wrong with css. In landscape mode, only contacts having thumbnails takes the setting in css. In portrait mode, it's the reverse: only contacts that don't have thumbnails takes css.

(Although in landscape, font-size is always taken.)

Ok I will test on the latest version when it's out.

NEW VERSION! 0.8.6-1

Just uploaded a new version of the package. It probably will take one hour before is available to be installed.

This new version has several fixes and improvements and 2 big new features: integration with FastSMS (optional) and a phone view (only contacts that have at least one phone). Another minor change but that I liked a lot is that now the Avatars (ex-Thumbnails) view has the contact's name under the image.

Please check the entire Change Log.

p.s. If by any chance you have modified the style sheets you will need to copy them to a different folder before updating the application. The application will replace them in order to add some new "classes".

If you create something different make sure to share with us... I keep postponing to create a different one to show what can be done.

By the way: the style sheet is reloaded every time you select a different view, open the contact details (just for the contact details window), or rotate the device. No need to exit and start again...

Following this closely! looks realy nice! I would like to have the option to disable the groups, so that only 1 group remains and then on the widget the group tabs don't show up. So you'll have one big field of contacts, is that possible?

great application. I remember when it came and it has come a long way. Good job men. One thing though. I just changed my theme and noticed that the applet maintained it's same yellow color. Would be good if it was just transparent that way it can work with any theme selected. Right now my theme is blue and the applet (actually widget) being yellow just looks out of sort. However, i can't remove the widget since it's connected to the group ringtone. I heard you're trying to disconnect the twoand keep the app running somehow so I'll be patient. Thanks for the program men. Keep it up.

actually just installed the latest version and the color issue has been taken care of with the selection of different colors. Good job. Lots of new settings. All i'm waiting for now is for the group ringtones to be able to work separately from running the applet or keeping the application open and running in the dashboard. Thanks men.
