@D-Iivil
The change background is a bug in matan's modified-hildon-desktop
I can help you with Qt if you want
Hmm.. I don't use Matan's hildon-desktop. I currently have MohammadAG's latest hildon-desktop in use and your hildon-home. But AFAIK Matan's hildon-desktop isn't on maemo repos either :-(

The theme customizator tool won't be much use if user needs to install the modded hildon-desktop from 3rd party repos while the customizer itself is awailable (or will be) @ maemo.org repos.

About that QT stuff; are you on IRC or should I PM my issues to you? Help is definitely appreciated!

Thanks in advance
That just a precaution if something would not work. If you rename hildon-home.launch1 to hildon-home.launch it would be permanent.

You should be able to do this by (depending where you have launch1)

1. sudo gainroot
2. mv /usr/bin/hildon-home.launch1 /usr/bin/hildon-home.launch

I have no such problem.. can change my backgrounds without problems. I have the stock hildon-desktop.

Let me try MohammadAG's hildon-desktop tomorrow and try to find the problem.
About help, I've never used IRC
MSN maybe? But I'm not available today. Let's talk tomorrow.

Thanks for your assistance Almehdi but when i use your above command to rename the file, it gives out the following
'
/home/user # mv /usr/bin/hildon-home.launch1 /usr/bin/hildon-home.launch
mv: cannot rename '/usr/bin/hildon-home.launch1': Device or resource busy
/home/user # '
Is there any other way round ? Thanks in advance
Edit: Got it working after a reboot

@D-Iivil:
Are you using qt for this app?
Can I suggest you to use QTranslator so I can translate it to Spanish?
