I never said jolla should do that. Please read.

Just to check - you are NOT advocating that Jolla should have called their phone the jPhone in preference to Jolla, nor that any second phone should be the jPhone 2. And any of the many, many examples of you calling the phone that, and arguing that it is a better name than the one it actually has and encouraging others to do the same, are no more than in my imagination?

Yes, that is pretty much correct. What i call the Phone is not the same as i want them to call IT jPhone. I hope they have the skils to come up With a better one(jolla is not acceptable ).

Anyone seen any indications about jolla trying to scramble money for another device to make it for them?

If it really is 2015, it'll prolly be ~Dec 2015 (if they're still in business), I doubt it'll be much earlier than that...
If it is much earlier (i.e. Q1/Q2), it'll most likely end up being an ordinary device hw-wise, perhaps more-so than the 1st Jolla.
These guys can't compete on the same hw life-cycle as Android vendors (big or small), that may change in the future with enough market momentum.
Before concentrating heavily on the next phone, I'd like them to develop/leverage TOH concept much more than they have so far.

The Design should be more rounded to let the Device seem more like one piece. The other half shall be called TOH2 and the device Jolla J2 or similar.... Really, nobody cares...
Instead of a powerful processor, which the OS definitely does not need, it should be very battery-friendly: at the moment I would go with a snapdragon 400 dual core or Mediatek chipset.
2 GB RAM standard of course and preferably a battery with around 2300 may to last longer. Display between 4,5 and 4,7 inch and 720p, LCD or amoled does not matter, I'd prefer LCD. Cheaper and lasts longer.
Regards

My expectation is that unless they drop the price massively on J1 they will never make any significant sales in India, and if they do drop the price massively there will be a number of people here in europe asking for the same.

at a time when we are seeing awesome handsets like the oneplus one released for £229 from a no-name brands in china the J1 looks increasingly obsolescent.**

** this is no way any reflection on Sailfish.
