when a video is shared on facebook, letters like "ä,ö,ü" aren't shown. Instead it displays weird symbols.

what about the missing icons and search results when you go back from playing a video? this app is brilliant but these problems are spoiling the usage

I've never once experienced this problem (stock PR1.3), nor have the vast majority of users. I cannot fix bugs that I am unable to reproduce. I need more data points. With the current data, my trusty logic tells me that the problem lies elsewhere.

I have same problem after instaling the CSSU.Qmltube load 50 video and no more.

I had this problem with xtube plungin,after uinstaling all is ok

cheers it was the xtube plugin that was doing it. removed that and it's sorted.

re Xtube - can a dev withdraw a package? I ask because if not, an outdated and disfunctional xtube will still be installable with attendent confusion. May be best to release an "update" to xtube that limits the depends to the current or even an earlier version of qmltube and no later? As we see, xtube can corrupt the functionality of a superb piece of software.

There is small difference in behaviour when changing views that causes the problem (it's the difference between changing opacity and changing visibility). I think it is using Xtube that causes the problem, rather than simply having it installed. If you view a list of Xtube videos, the previous view will have it's visibility set to false. If you then press the 'back' button, the opacity of the previous view will be set to 100%, but it's visibility will be unchanged (i.e still false), due to necessary changes in the cuteTube code.

Ideally, I would keep Xtube updated to comply with changes to the cuteTube code, but this is not easy when changes are frequent. I don't have enough time for the extra workload, and seeing as many of the videos will not play on the N900, the effort would be mostly wasted, and I have other projects that I would like to complete sometime during this century.

It's for this reason that I am not going to be implementing any further plugins for cuteTube.
