When the application is launched in fullscreen mode, is it possible to switch tasks?
Like change a song in the media player and then switch back to sygic.

Then open your N900 file manager and click on SetupMobileMaps.deb.

Your should now see the app in the menu.
That would be exactly what I did as per the instructions. As I explained it didn't work and I cannot work our why?! Any ideas

Apparently not - you can see on here they cover how to extract from the VIF and how to pack into a PAK file for Sygic, but they say the voices don't match up properly. You can give it a shot though.

Do you have a UK version N900? with the old f/w?

You need to update to the latest one - OR install the .deb via the command line.

you can install a program like camkeyd to open the task-switcher by pressing the cam button.

edit: or just press Ctrl + Backspace

I have a small problem. I finally got the activation mail and installed mobile maps successfully (and it works great), but the Iconskin is missing. The icon will appear only as a blue box. Can someone help me?

Reboot should do the trick.

not only does it seem that they advertise an incorrect map list (Malta - who knows what else is missing), they do not provide any privacy policy at this moment.

the document mentioned in the terms of use does not exist (www.sygic.com/privacy.htm gives a 404), and the ordering process is not encrypted at all - only the payment (i didn't order, so i can't even confirm that...)

i'd rather not send my data to someone not willing to provide some basic security for ordering.
I have bought the Western European maps package from the Sygic website, run the PC loader, and have successfully installed the Malta map to my Nokia N900. It may not be in the .zip file that you just copy across, but when installing via the PC .exe program, you can chose your specific regions or specific countries and Malta, along with every other country in Europe is there.
