Well were not surprised are we, we've kinda known for mth now that it's probably not coming.
Esp. in light of Nokia's alliance with MS, and MS's more recent acquisition of Skype.
There's still Peregrine, I prefer XMPP/Jingle (possibly MUJI eventually) anyway.

Did you get it in from a HN branch in Victoria?
For som reason they seem to be getting it for big discounts down there compared to queenslanders.

WTF!! overkill?
640k ought to be enough for anybody. Furthermore, we see a total global market of between 5 to 10 computers.

So... which step are we on again? Or is this part of the future disruptions? next billion? What Nokia buzzword or marketing phrase best describes this AWESOME level of support for their new product/platform?

But I thought this was supposed to be so easy to port to? Why wouldn't it include video support? At LEAST voicemail support, for crying out loud. Are they writing a whole new application for this?? What's the point of this platform, then?

To add to this, I thought Skype was written in Qt as well?

does ANY Nokia phone support skype out of the box? Symbian used to have it (via fring), then lost it, then got it back, then lost it again. N900 didn't have it out of the box either. and let's be honest, the video call on the N900 plain sucks.
