To me it just seems that everyone is just so used to one kind of OS/interface, anything that strays from what is known to be the norm is hard to accept, and ridiculed. History does indeed repeat itself. We as human beings tend to try and over complicate things. I honestly think the "childish" swipe interface is genius.

my parents live in shanghai, and I had my mom try get some info for me:

they didn't want to quote price on phone, but gave me price range from RMB4800 to RMB5000. So far Nokia N9 only accept pre-ordering with full payment. It will be available in mid Oct.

I'm having her check out the store sometime this week to see if its released at all and get a final price. the price she got on the phone seems rather high, so I'm assuming thats for the 64gb model.

but I'll update as i find out

Amazing statistics:


According to latest research from In-Stat, about 65% of US households would own either a smartphone or tablet by 2015, and the average household would have at least four Apple devices. That will also spell good news for sales of devices by Google , Microsoft , and Nokia .

Yes and increased their loan with 65% as well...

So this machine is locked... like really locked. All of the harassment for my locked bootloader - and I still got around it to install a custom kernel and ROM on my Atrix - I want an apology.

This is locked down, like really locked down. Wow.
