holly god !!!!!!
every time i solve something
another thing just comes out from no where

aaarh i don't understand why the script doesn't detect that you are not
root
it just doesn't understand what is if !!!!


solutions:

1-) install bash by : sudo gainroot
apt-get install bash
(might have something to do with it)

2-) open the script and remove the part from if to (fi)
and then retry

Work great for me. I have bash already installed and never tried previous versions.

I have bash 4 installed already, the script starts with "if" i'll do what you said and let you know

ok i think i got it working. When editing the patch avoid using the app notes, use vi, vim or leafpad in the x terminal. i had to download the install.txt again and edit using vim.

i uninstalled my previus patch and installed it again with the new method.after putting the commands it asked me to restart the phone.so i restarted.i dint check weder the patch was applied or not...but when i browsed thru filebox to dev/cgroup/cpu...der was nthng inside cpu folder......dis dint happen with my previous installation...help

i just got mine working.
go to the xterminal
type: cd dev/cgroup/cpu
type : ls
you should see some folders there.

or you can go to the xterminal
type:cd /etc/event.d
type:ls
you should see the speedpatch folder there

edit* ls=LS

would like to say i have used this patch for five days and its working nicely. my N900 is not lagging anymore and transition control just made things even nicer!! thanks a lot man. overclocking never did anything for me but dis plus CSSU wow! its things like dis dat make dis phone better n better!
