Assuming you reacted to my background connection problem, it does appear to be Wazapp related on my N9.

The moment I leave Wazapp running in the background (id est: Without quiting through the programs menu) and I disconnect my phone from wifi, I get into this recurring screen with available connections.

I have tried it over and over again, removed rss feeds, disabled anything else that could possibly be interfering but each and every time the outcome is the same: My connectionproblem disappears as soon as Wazapp has been shut down completely.

Sorry, I missunderstood you. I have heard about this problem before, think it has been there for a long time. I never leave Wazapp running in the background.

i guess, this is normal behavior, i read somewhere (i think in yappari thread), that Whatsapp server has to be pinged every 3 seconds to keep up the connection...

Is there something I am missing?

Sorry for being a bit dumb here. I have been following this community since Nokia 770 days and I never got stuck. But stuck I am now. If somebody could post an idiot's guide how to install wazapp from scratch and where to get the dependencies from I would be eternally grateful.
Well, last year some of us we had this problem. Switch off ur phone for few seconds, switch it on and try a fresh download of the wazapp kit. Most of the times this does the trick.
(if u hv this issue with the last version(.19) only, try installing .17 and let the phone do the updates).
Sorry, im no N9 expert, just following some of the guys advices in here.

I have reset the phone to factory settings tried to install .19, tried to install .17 the message is always the same Installation failed when looking for the dependencies. I originally installed .17 and had no problems whatsoever. I have no idea what has messed this up, but the likelihood is that is was the uninstall from the applications manager. Not sure where to turn next.

@thom45: Do you have developer mode enabled?

Read the wiki how to purge wazapp: https://wiki.maemo.org/Wazapp#Comple..._your_Nokia_N9
And type after purging in terminal (as root):
apt-get update -f
apt-get upgrade
