Are the sources avaiable / will they be avaiable ?
Wchich flasher-tools are used to got Nokia 3310 reflashed etc.

I would be very interested to sse Sailfish on the Nokia 3310 (2017).
It would be really cool...

HA! You're WRONG!
It has been stated that it's NOT the 3310 many times in different videos. If you compare it to the original (new) 3310, you can see that there are major differences like the screensize.

Oh and you should edit your thread title to avoid confusion.

Actually... does it really matter much which brand it is? Isn't it more exciting how they managed to make a UI designed for touch screens work on such a device?

Also, I'd be very interested to learn about the minimum system requirements they're aiming at. They said "LTE capable feature phones" - what does this translate to nowadays in terms of RAM/CPU?

That's exactly what I thought. Plus, why is Sailfish on other devices such a resource hog.

Well, i know, that there are many versions of the Nokia 3310 (2017)
There is an Original, made by HMD and a couple of cheap Chinese fakes with a smaller screen.

Correction: It really looks like a fake Nokia 3310 with a smaller screen...

Do you have some information about it, or you think so?

I think, they made the same way like they modified the UI for the LG Smartwatch. SailfishOS is very modular. You can just made another uI on top of Mer.

Is it? I didn't do any scientific comparison of course, but I had used my XperiaX with Android a few weeks before SailfishX became available. I remember I felt Sailfish was smoother than Android on the same hardware. (The only thing I really measured was the time it took both OS's to boot... and SF was a lot faster. Doesn't say much about daily use then, I know.)

Admittedly, it goes up and down. Some updates were worse than others. There were a few that could not handle three running apps without Android support installed. The battery life isn't exactly stellar either. Mine lasts about two days on the shelf. I do not have an X but people here reported that Sail X lasted less than Android.
