I mainly use it for surfing the web on my wifi and reading the PDF ebooks. I get 4-7 hours (with occasional Youtube thrown in between) at mid brightness setting.

I'm seeing 'variable' battery life. It usually lasts for about 4 or 5 hours. Sometimes after charging it says "7 hours when in use"; sometimes it says "3 hours". It's slightly dependant on the screen brighness (turn it down, wait a few seconds and the battery life increases - makes sense) but it varies too much. Sometimes it charges in 2 hours, sometimes it takes 6 (always from less than 1 hour remaining).

I'd like to know where I can get a spare battery, too, if anyone knows...

On the advanced settings for wifi network you can set all connections for 10mw instead of 100mw. If you have very strong wifi signals that will save battery life too.

According to Nokia (postings on the developer list), setting the power down from 100mW to 10mW won't actully make much, if any, real difference for battery life because the wi-fi is sent in very short bursts. The lower (10mW) setting is there purely to satisfy the requirements for some countries where 100mW isn't allowed.

I get about a work-day if I don't use wifi (screen off, music on with sporadic app use), 4 hours if there's solid wifi/video use and light wifi falls somewhere in between.
