Hi,
I downloaded vm ware this afternoon and was delighted to be able to play games like bejeweled. After wasting an hour playing this I tried to install another app (mine sweeper esque game) but it froze up. I was able to close the window but when I try to start the app again I get this message:
Can't connect to GVM. (error 0x30070000)
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Garnet twice (and rebooted between uninstall and reinstall for good measure) however this message pops up the moment that it starts. Everything else works fine. vm ware DID work for a while so it does work with my system.

Thanks

1) Uninstall Garnet
2) Open an osso-xterm and do 'rm -rf .gvm' (this removes its Palm virtual storage)
3) Reinstall Garnet
4) Reboot

It's a bit convoluted.. but when I ran into a similar problem with an application needing mathlib.prc I did all of the above, but it only worked when combined as described..

It's probably simply a crash. It's possible to see what happens if you launch the application from the command line (that is, in an xterm). How to do that can be found here: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...47&postcount=1
You'll need the application ID, which you can find with e.g. FileZ. When the program fails you will probably see a lot of messages in xterm. When I try to run avantgo, for example, I see a lot of info indicating why it crashed. (Not that it allows me to do anything.. but one could report it to Access on that feedback page of theirs).

p.s. For the record, what I wrote in that earlier post about problems with mathlib.prc doesn't apply anymore, Access fixed that in the second beta (the one that came out in May).
