Having a thorny problem trying to get my N800 to see my wireless access point from my Buffalo WHR-G54S router. Seems really bizarre. Any other device I've brought into this environment picks up my wifi signal right away, both Mac and Windows.
What I've Tried
- two different N800s, neither can see it
- lots of settings changes on the router (unecrypted, WPA2, G, A, etc)
- lots of settings changes on the N800 (hidden SSID, static ip, dhcp, etc)
- changed Buffalo firmware from stock, to (DD-WRT v24 RC-5)
There have been occasions where the N800 will briefly find the network when it's searching. But even when I try to connect in these rare moments it either doesn't connect or connects briefly and then disappears.
Both of the N800s I've tried to connect have been running firmware version 4.2007.38-2.
Now that I'm running DD-WRT on the router (totally rocks btw) I have access to tons of settings (see screenshot). But I don't want to start arbitrarily changing things unless someone who knows more can suggest the right tweaks.
Any help, ideas or shots in the dark, are welcome!
