Does anyone know if the N800 can transmit stereo sound over the Bluetooth link? I have stereo Bluetooth headphones and allthough I am able to pair with the headphones and listen to music, it sounds terrible. I was wondering if it were the LG headphones, or if it's because of the N800 not being able to transmit stereo.

It does not (yet) have A2DP support, which is the profile required for high quality stereo sound. What you are experiencing is the HSP profile, which is mono and for headsets (internet calls). There is a thread providing some instructions for getting A2DP going on OS2008, but still in infancy.

If you are running OS2007, there is a great set of instructions to get A2DP going with Kagu.

What I usually use is a Jabra a120s adapter. It plugs into the headphone jack of any device and transmits stereo audio. It pairs with my bluetooth stereo headset, and the sound quality is excellent. You don't need A2DP on the device, the adapter does it. It's designed to be used with mp3 players or whatever you have, and works with any device that has a headphone jack. It's not that expensive, and it solves all sorts of audio problems on all sorts of devices.
