I have accidentally found this post

It describes conversion form Sharp Zaurus software packages into Maemo deb packages. Since both devices running ARM it seems, that a lot of software for Sharp Zaurus could be very soon aviable for Nokia 770.

The problem is that the windows toolkit that Zaurus apps wrote to was Qt. The 770 uses maemo, based on gnome. So GUI apps will have a bit of conversion, I think.

sure, but many packages on ipkgfind are either gui independant or also have a GPE port of the same or a similar app, which makes this guys scripts very usefull
