Hi!

Is there a quick and easy way to set (and disable) proxy settings?

If not, I know we can mug around pref.js for the browser, but what about the googletalk, skype, etc.

Thanks in advance.

There's a per-connection proxy setting in the network setup. Presumably it works only for http/https/ftp. Skype for sure is unaffected by it (as it uses UDP for one). VPN would handle that though.

There's no easy off/on proxy switch, so what I do is simply to set up two different network connections for the same AP, under two different names. One with proxy and one without. To turn on or off the proxy I hit "change connection" and select the other one.

Thanks.

Per-connection proxy setting is just what I needed.
